Melissa is an elementary general music teacher and choir director at a Ryan Elementary school. She began her elementary teaching career in 2006, but has been teaching voice and piano students privately since 2002. Melissa graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in vocal performance in 2003 and with her music education teaching certificate in 2006. While Melissa greatly enjoys vocal performance opportunities, she gets a special joy from teaching and directing choirs. When she is not teaching elementary music, giving private lessons, or working with the outstanding choir members at Chandler United Methodist Church, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband, Josh. Their favorite thing to do together is be entertained by their playful Daschund, Chihuahua, and cat. They are both so happy to live near her husband's family, and love to get back to Placerville, California to visit Melissa's family. Melissa is thrilled to be a private music teacher for Smart Move Tutoring and looks forward to meeting new students!
